Rogue LX205B 5-String Series III Electric Bass Guitar Review

Rogue LX205B: A Five String Metallic Bass

I will never forget seeing the incredible Sir Paul McCartney live at Madison Square Garden a few years ago. It was one of those performances that was transcendent, that I forgot about all the troubles in my own life, and for a solid three hours, it was just about some of the best music ever written being performed for all of us in that arena.

Concerts are really an incredible thing. They unite everyone in that building, and even though we don’t personally know each other, we leave smiling, knowing that we experienced a moment that no one else has. It is a fantastic feeling, especially with this unique concert.

I had always been a huge fan of the Beatles, and to finally see one live in concert was a dream come true. I’ve seen plenty of concerts, but have never been to one where one man played every instrument possible, and played for three hours straight.

There was no opening act, it was just him and he gave us a night I’ll never forget. The reason I’m going on about it is that night was the reason I got into music in the first place. It was always a hobby of mine, but I committed to becoming a professional musician that night.

My instrument of choice has always been the bass guitar. It is a fantastic instrument with so many choices available to buy online. My goal is to give you my thoughts on one brand and help you make the final decision of what to buy.

One of the brands on the market today is the Rogue LX205B 5-String Electric Bass Guitar. It is available to buy online, and comes at an affordable price.

Verdict

As I stated before, buying a new musical instrument is an investment. There are so many brands out there to choose from that can stretch in price from a mere $25 all the way up to thousands and thousands of dollars.

Buying online is definitely the way to go as it is much cheaper, but I always recommend going in person testing it out for yourself. Musical instruments are all about personal preference and what someone else might love, you might hate, never buy one online without at least holding the brand in a store.

That being said, I highly recommend the Rogue LX205B 5-String Electric Bass Guitar for anyone new who is learning to play the bass for the first time. It might not be the most high-end bass available on the market today, but it gets the job done, and gives you a variety of options.

The ability to play with five strings is a great bonus for anyone new to the bass, and gives you the freedom to play lower notes that a 4-string just doesn’t offer. It looks great, is very light, easy to move, and is equipped with everything a first-time player needs in a bass!

The pickups on the bass itself are fantastic as well, letting you adjust the volume and tone, right from your instrument! I hope you have a fantastic time playing, and never stop practicing!

  1. I love my Rogue bass more so than a fender p or j no doubt I bought it used for $100 and after “test playing” it for less than a minute I knew I had to have it. I play everything from “Sittin on the dock of a bay” to “Stupify” from Disturbed with everything in between & this guitar never fails to produce the tones required. I’d like to thank Rouge’s design/build team for doing a great job on the instrument and being realistic with the price( not some unnecessary $1,000-3,000 tag on it! I could go on, but in fair spirit I can only adress one negative aspect which is the balance between neck & body. It is off in favor of the neck half,so I had to reposition /remount the one strap knob. No biggie. I’d recommend it to beginner & pro. alike. Hell ive been at it for 42 years
