Squier by Fender Affinity Jazz V String Beginner Electric Bass Guitar Review

The Fender Squier: A Warm Brown Sunburst

Most parents decide to put their kids in either extracurricular activity of playing sports or playing a musical instrument. This is very common in North America, as both activities teach young people discipline, the ability to practice a skill, and it develops their ability outside of school.

I was a child whose parents decided that I was more inclined to music than sports, and they put me in lessons. I will always be so thankful for their decision as music is my passion, but even more so, helping people discover their love for musical instruments is what really inspires me.

For anyone new to music, finding what you want to play, and what instrument you click with is a very daunting task. Even more so, purchasing a musical instrument is an investment and is quite a process if you don’t know exactly what you are looking for.

There are so many brands available on the market today that vary in price, size, and playing type. It can be overwhelming! I am here to help guide you towards which brands work and which brands don’t.

One bass guitar brand is the Squier by Fender Affinity Electric Bass Guitar (Warm Brown Sunburst). It is very affordable and available online for purchase.

Verdict

The Squier by Fender Affinity Electric Bass Guitar (Warm Brown Sunburst) is a great purchase for any newcomer to playing an instrument. It has a great sound, is easy to play, and has a really beautiful, warm tone. Unfortunately, it is only an electric bass and therefore will not work acoustically.

The amazing aspect is, that even though it is technically a “lower end” brand, it is still made with the same precision that Fender uses for all their guitars, allowing for a long lifespan. Therefore, I really recommend buying the Squier, as it will save you money, especially if this is one of your first-time buys.

It is inexpensive, offers a great quality sound, and also has a unique look.

As well, the onboard pickups are not the greatest, but if you are just beginning to learn, you will not mind this one bit. If you are a more advanced bassist looking for the highest quality of instrument that you will use all the time, the Squier by Fender Affinity Electric Bass Guitar will be a great backup bass for any gig you need.

I recommend buying new strings as soon as you get the bass, as I found that the stock strings do not have the best quality of sound. I have found it to be incredibly reliable.

I recommend going to check it out for yourself at your local store, as everyone has his or her own personal preference on feel and sound. This is a must for anyone buying a musical instrument for the first time.

Never buy a bass guitar without going to hold it first, as we all come in different shapes and sizes, and I want you to get one that is comfortable and meets all your needs! Always remember—never stop practicing!
